PURPOSE – Small World Learning Center was established by Port City Church as a service to the families in its community.  Recognizing the importance of early childhood development, our purpose is to provide a variety of expertise that will assure a balanced growth in the whole child.

GOALS – Our goals are to provide careful supervision and planned programs which will allow our children to develop at his/her own rate of speed towards enriching experiences, self-discipline, and the ability to make choices. Our goal to develop the total personality of a child will be accomplished:

  • EMOTIONAL: When he/she learns to feel secure away from home.
The child develops a sense of self-worth.

  • SOCIAL: When he/she learns to participate in groups.
The child develops a feeling of belonging.

  • PHYSICAL: When he/she develops motor control and coordination.
The child develops large and small muscle skills.

  • MENTAL: When his/her intellectual curiosity is encouraged.
The child experiences involvement in learning

  • SPIRITUAL: When he/she learns reverence and respect for God.
The child is trained in morals and manners.

SMALL WORLD LEARNING CENTER is a non-denominational service to the families of the community.
